电影筛选职业杀手丹尼已经到了退休的年纪却依旧认为自己是业界翘楚，工作没什么进展的他正在追求俱乐部经理安娜。某天，丹尼突然接到组织的任务派遣，他对此非常激动，结果发现只是去训练新人威尔。而这个威尔虽然天赋异禀、能力出众却也有着十足的个性，难以驯服。这对错配的搭档被要求除掉犯罪集团的一个高层人员。虽然两人性格天差地别，互相看不顺眼，但为了任务却也将就地相互配合。而令组织没有料到的是，丹尼的经验加上这个小孩的才华，让两人之间建立起了一种意想不到的默契。而这种默契再加上安娜的重要帮助使得三人发现了组织的真正目的。他们发现其实组织是想完成自己内部的更新换代，不仅利用他们出掉对手，更是在之后就要替换掉他们仨人。得知真相的三人联手捣毁了组织。
