电影筛选在国共内战尾声的1949年，憨厚的门栓（钮承泽 饰）前去投靠在担任伙房兵的同乡李得胜（张世 饰），李让门栓顶替了战死士兵左富贵的身份加入军队，也帮自己弄了个柳金元的名字。两人懵懵懂懂的随军撤到听闻盛产香蕉的台湾，成了军队文宣队队员，不料却因为冒用的名字而被怀疑是间谍。李得胜先遭逮捕，门栓害怕受牵连逃走，途中遇到月香（曾庆瑜 饰）母子。月香的丈夫李麒麟病重身亡，为了照顾她们母子，门栓顶替了她丈夫，用死者辅仁大学英文系的毕业证书找到工作。教育程度不高的门闩冒充英文高材生弄得是险象环生，还被艺工队的同袍认出，只得靠改名后转调单位的老大哥李德胜介绍，暂时在一户蕉农家觅得落脚处。但得胜因刑求之故精神状况时好时坏，某日发狂惊动部队，连带导致门闩的逃兵身份曝光，九死一生。后来门闩用李麒麟的身份考上公职，生活才趋稳定，与月香共同生活照料孩子与发疯的得胜，吃苦耐劳无怨无尤。四十年过去，台湾允许人民到大陆探亲。月香的儿子到山东找到祖父，并将祖父接到香港，他在港打长途电话，要父母到香港与祖父一叙家常。门栓惊慌，怕四十年的秘密被识破，急忙要月香回忆与公公在一起的往事。谁知月香也是冒牌货。原来，她是在纷乱中被辅仁大学英文系的学生救出来的，这个学生的妻子刚去世，留下个婴儿，他本人又抱病在身，月香便和他同行，以作照顾。学生死后，把毕业证书留给了月香 。门栓与月香抱在一起哭诉自己不幸的遭遇，但还是强忍着内心的悲痛，硬著头皮去与“父子”相见。分隔四十年的“父子”开始对话，电话两头虽为陌路人，但却有着共通的离散辛酸；门栓听到李父说到母亲过世的消息，已分不清谈的是谁的父母，泣不成声……

Lucjan is a theatre actor whose health is failing. He forgets his lines on stage and feels confused and out of place in his daily life. He decides to end his acting career and soon winds up in a nursing home. In this new place, the elderly man misses his late wife. He starts having nightmares that seem to become real. In one of them, he discovers a passage into a magical world deceptively similar to his theatre. Lucjan starts living in two parallel dimensions – real life and the fairy tale – that become increasingly dependent on each other and intertwined. His immersion in the imaginary world leads to an unexpected ending. A bittersweet treatise on passing. The fairy-tale world Lucjan creates is not so much a metaphor for death as a symbolic reconciliation to its coming.

In this ducklightful animated feature film, Daffy Duck opens up the ghostbusting Ghouls R' Us Agency. "It's supply and demand," the spook sleuth explains. "My clients supply the ghosts. And I demand the money." Highlights include Daffy "Anything for a buck" Duck pitching his wares on TV; a house call to aid a vampy seducktress; a ghost-to-ghost hookup with Zed Toppel on Frightline; and, talk about a tough crowd, crooner Daffy wowing a nightclub of Transylvanian baddies. Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Tweety and Sylvester join the exorcise in hilarity, with principal voices provided by the always masterful Mel Blanc. The gang's all here - and so is the fun.
