电影筛选售卖佛像的古董商人坎杰（Paresh Rawal 饰）是个无神论者。他把佛像视为玩具，不明白那些花招百出的宗教仪式，希望把女儿培养成飞行员，把儿子培养成板球球员。古董店寄托着他全部的希望和感情。 某一天热闹的祭祀仪式上，坎杰为了把参与活动的儿子揪回去，开了神的玩笑，被教派的头目警告会遭到神的报应。当天天气突然由晴转阴，且引发了一场地震。其它店铺无一受损，唯有坎杰的店被震的面目全非。本以为投了保险可以挽回损失的坎杰被保险公司告知这属于不可抗力的天灾人祸，不在承保范围内。一无所有的坎杰一纸状书把神告上了法庭。而被告人则是那些借助神灵名义四处捞金的教派头目们。一场看似离奇的官司就这样展开，而神灵（阿克谢•库玛尔 Akshay Kumar 饰）本人似乎也对此事很感兴趣，他隐藏在人群中，来到了坎杰身边，也改变了坎杰对宗教的看法……
电信大亨杰辛哈尼亚（阿米尔•汗 Aamir Khan 饰）为人低调，某日却见报纸爆料他向一个叫卡尔帕谢蒂（阿辛 Asin 饰）的小广告模特大胆示爱，气愤之余杰辛哈尼亚去向这个造谣生事的女孩儿问责，谁料他途中看见一个美丽善良的女孩机智地帮助残疾儿童，而这 个女孩就是卡尔帕谢蒂，卡尔帕谢蒂并不认识杰辛哈尼亚，一场误会令别人以为她就是大亨的女友。杰辛哈尼亚隐瞒身份接近卡尔帕谢蒂，可后者以为他不过是求广告机会的无名小卒。杰辛哈尼亚结识卡尔帕谢蒂后开始了扮演双重身份的生活，两人在相处中感情逐渐加深。卡尔帕谢蒂从黑帮大佬手中救出了25名少女，惹来杀身之祸。杰辛哈尼亚遭连累被击中头部之后只能保留十五分钟的记忆，为了爱人，他艰难的凭借有限的记忆复仇……
Hareesh and Reshmi are an immigrant couple from Kerala working in a medical gloves factory near Delhi. During the COVID-19 lockdowns, when an old video resurfaces among the factory workers, it opens up a Pandora’s box that threatens the couple’s jobs and marriage. As desperation and hostility mounts, they confront their own needs and desires while torn between a life of conscience and compromise.

It revisits an episode of dissent in the 90s which brought up this question amongst us. A history forgotten.
