Golden Bear winner Peter Mackie Burns has started shooting his London-set debut feature Daphne, production company The Bureau has revealed. Emily Beecham [pictured] - who features in the cast of Berlinale opening film Hail, Caesar! - plays the titular Daphne, a young Londoner with a frenetic lifestyle who decides she needs to change her life after witnessing a violent robbery. The Bureau producers Tristan Goligher and Valentina Brazzini developed the project in-house. The BFI and Creative Scotland are the main financiers of the film, together with The Bureau. The company’s Paris-based sister company, The Bureau Sales, is handling international rights. Mackie Burns won the Golden Bear for best short film in 2005 for Milk, about a girl trying to bathe her grandmother. Nico Mensinga wrote the screenplay for Daphne in his second collaboration with Mackie Burns after the short Happy Birthday To Me, also starring Beecham. The Daphne shoot kicks-off amid a high-profile year for The Bureau following the success of Andrew Haigh’s 45 Years, which won two Silver Bears for the lead performances of Charlotte Rampling and Tom Courtenay in Berlin last year, with Rampling also receiving an Oscar nomination, and is up for Outstanding British Film at tonight’s Baftas. “Peter Mackie Burns has made some visceral performance driven shorts including the award-winning Milk,” said Lizzie Francke, BFI senior production and development executive. “It is great to be able to support him on the next stage of his film career

Based on the actual 11-day disappearance of famed mystery writer Agatha Christie in 1926, the film fictionalizes her whereabouts during that time. When her husband announces that he is leaving her for another woman, Christie creates a mystery out of her own life by hiding in a Harrogate hotel and plotting revenge on her spouse while all of England searches for her. The reporter who finds Christie tries to foil her plan and finally falls in love with her.
Two childhood friends get more than they bargained for when they inadvertently agree to play against each other in a deadly game of live and death called "Us or Them." - After Jude wins a luxury holiday on a mobile game app, he takes his friends and family with him including childhood BFF Andy. The two are invited to meet with a mysterious woman called The Officiator, who offers them the chance to win $20 Million if they agree to play a simple game. Eager to get his hands on the money, Jude convinces Andy to play but inadvertently signs the duo up for a deadly game called "Us or Them" where failure to agree on decisions will have dire consequences to not just Jude and Andy, but the family they have brought along with them on the trip.
Jumpers for Goalposts: Live at Wembley Stadium is a home video by English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, released on Blu-ray on 13 November 2015. It features the footage taken from Sheeran's x Tour, when he became the first solo artist to take the stage at Wembley Stadium in London and played across three sold out nights to a crowd of 240,000 people. Jumpers for Goalposts: Live at Wembley Stadium features performances of hits like "The A Team", "Sing" or "Thinking Out Loud". Sir Elton John duets with Sheeran on two songs. The title “Jumpers for Goalposts” alludes to street/park football in the UK, a practice where jumpers would be placed on the ground and used as goalposts, a nod from Sheeran playing the concerts at Wembley Stadium, the home of English football. Aside from the live performances, Jumpers for Goalposts: Live at Wembley Stadium gives viewers an insight into life backstage on the road with Sheeran. Simultaneously, Jumpers for Goalposts: Live at Wembley Stadium was released on DVD as part of the re-release of Sheeran's 2014 x album. This CD/DVD combo titled x (Wembley Edition) also includes five new tracks on the CD portion.

The story of Parker’s new effort, penned by William “Billy” Ivory, is inspired by true events and is set in the summer of 2014. On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings in France, octogenarian Bernard Jordan (played by Michael Caine) made global headlines. He’d staged a “great escape” from his care home to join fellow war veterans on a beach in Normandy, commemorating their fallen comrades. The bittersweet script is said to explore “the reality with wit and a very big heart”. Bernie’s adventure, spanning just 48 hours, also marked the culmination of his 60-year marriage to Irene (Glenda Jackson). The film will also celebrate “their love without any sentimentality and with an eye to the lessons we might all learn from the Greatest Generation”.
