影片是根据谢尔盖·卢科扬涅科的三部曲中的第二部《守日人》改编。 故事发生在上一集叶戈尔（德米特里·马丁诺夫 Dmitry Martynov 饰）归入黑暗阵营几年之后，安东(康斯坦丁·哈宾斯基 Konstantin Khabenskiy 饰）与其新女友兼徒弟斯维塔担当光明阵营力量的同时，叶戈尔也在逐渐成长为黑暗阵营中一名拥有强大力量的少年，并受到父亲安东暗中的保护。直到黑暗阵营中一名吸血鬼的离奇死亡，打破了光明与黑暗之间的微妙平衡，安东更被诬陷为凶手。审判庭裁定如果在期限之内无法证明安东不是凶手，光明和黑暗两大阵营之间的大战将一触即发。为此，安东开始寻找古代传说中那能改变命运的神器——命运粉笔，来挽回这摇摇欲坠的世界……
1940年代早期，第二次世界大战即将结束。激烈的持久战使苏联军队和德国军队都日渐疲惫。德军一辆极具攻击性和破坏性的巨型坦克“白虎”，屡屡将苏军的坦克轰炸得机毁人亡。而这辆势不可挡的强大武器，总是从战场的硝烟中幽幽出现继而转瞬消失，没人能够确认它的真实存在，当然也无人否认。苏军指挥官决定建造一辆超级坦克T-34坦克的变种，与之抗衡。操纵该辆坦克的车长伊凡·纳季亚诺夫（阿列克谢·沃特考夫 Alexei Vertkov饰）是一位传奇人物。他曾在操纵坦克时，被“白虎”轰炸得体无完肤。死里逃生的伊凡不但活了下来，更拥有一种读懂“坦克语言”的特异功能。他坚信神秘的德军坦克“白虎”确实存在，并决心摧毁它。 由俄罗斯导演卡伦·沙赫纳扎罗夫执导的战争影片《白虎》，入围2012年第15届上海国际电影节金爵奖-最佳影片，并入围2013年第3届北京国际电影节国外展映单元-俄罗斯影展。
Twenty-year-old Elya is a student and a future ecologist. One day, Matvey, the head of a construction company, comes to her university to talk about a development plan on the site of an old forest park. Elya does not hesitate to smash his project to smithereens. Matvey is intrigued by the girl's self-confidence and uses his usual methods of influence - he simply tries to "buy" her. But Elya doesn't need a sponsor. Then Matvey, surprised by her impregnability, offers Elya a bet: seven romantic days according to his rules. If after that the girl still decides to leave, he will refuse to build a skyscraper in the forest park. She agrees when Matvey really suspends the design work. Elya sees herself as something like the heroine of the film Pretty Woman, but Matvey turns out to be not at all the person she imagined.

佳娜（阿格莱亚·塔拉索娃 Aglaya Tarasova 饰）出生在一个非常贫困的家庭之中，在母亲的鼓励和栽培下，佳娜成为了一名花样滑冰运动员，虽然佳娜的身体条件并不是非常适合这项运动，但凭借着自己的努力，佳娜最终成功的站在了世界顶级花滑男选手里奥纳夫（米洛斯·比柯维奇 Milos Bikovic 饰）的身边，成为了他的搭档。两人通过默契十足的合作夺得了许多耀眼的成绩，彼此之间也碰撞出了爱情的火花。 花滑世界杯即将开始之前，佳娜不幸受伤，无奈只能告别赛场，里奥纳夫也因此离开了她。就在佳娜万念俱灰的时候，冰球运动员萨沙（亚历山大·佩特洛夫 Alexander Petrov 饰）成为了她坚强的后盾。
Like Fritz Lang, David Fincher or Bong Joon Ho before him, talented debut filmmaker Lado Kvataniya uses the concept of police detective vs serial killer for an excitingly stylised, macabre and haunting narrative, that ultimately revolves around the identity of an era: in this case, the late 1980s Soviet Union. With Glasnost and the end of communist rule, the West also learned of the (unsurprising) fact that there were serial killers in Russia too – the most notorious case probably that of Andrei Chikatilo, nicknamed the Rostov Ripper, or the Russian Hannibal Lecter. Based on these and many other sources, Kvataniya and screenwriter Olga Gorodetskaya constructed an immersive psychological puzzle, jumping back and forth in time, to reveal ever new-possible motives for the actions of all the protagonists. It all starts in 1990, when Detective Issa Davydov is celebrating his promotion and receives a call, reporting a crime that looks precisely like the ones of the serial killer that he famously captured some years before ...
